Hatha Yoga for Adults 45+ on the Wirral

Yoga for Real Bodies, Real Lives – For Adults 45 and Over

Green Deva Yoga offers Hatha yoga for adults 45+ on the Wirral, with weekly group classes in Bebington and Hooton and private sessions tailored to your needs.

Gentle Hatha Yoga for Adults 45+ – No Experience Needed

As we move through midlife, it’s easy to feel like yoga isn’t really for us. Maybe you’ve tried it before and felt out of place. Maybe the pace felt too fast, the poses too demanding, or the room full of people half your age doing things your body simply didn’t want to do.That’s not what you’ll find here.

At Green Deva, classes are small, unhurried and genuinely welcoming. There’s no pressure to perform, no expectation of flexibility and no keeping up. Just mindful movement taught with care, at a pace that feels right for you.

Weekly Group Classes on the Wirral

If you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, or simply looking for a slower and more mindful practice, the group classes are a good place to begin.

They’re particularly well suited to adults managing stress or anxiety, or anyone looking for a slower, more considered approach to movement.

Classes are held weekly at:

Mayer Hall, Bebington — Tuesdays at 6:00pm

Encore Music & Wellness, Hooton — Wednesdays at 7:30pm

No prior experience is needed. You’re welcome exactly as you are.

Private Yoga Sessions on the Wirral

Sometimes a group class isn’t quite the right fit – and that’s completely fine. Private sessions offer a more personal approach, adapted entirely to your body, your pace and what you’re hoping to work towards.

This might be the right option if you’re dealing with ongoing stress or low energy, if you have an injury or physical limitation you’d like to work around, or if you’d simply feel more comfortable starting one to one before joining a group.

On Line Courses – Learn at Your Own Pace

Green Deva offers a collection of online courses – practical, self-paced guides exploring breathwork, movement, stress and yoga philosophy.

Explore the Green Deva Library

The Green Deva website is a library of articles on yoga practice, poses, philosophy, meditation and wellbeing. Browse by topic using the menu bar above – whether you want to understand a pose more fully, explore the classical tradition behind the practice, or simply read around the subject at your own pace, there’s plenty to discover.

Accessible Yoga for Every Body on the Wirral

Every class includes clear guidance, props where helpful and alternatives for poses that don’t feel right on a given day.

There’s no judgement here – only encouragement to listen to your body and move in whatever way feels good.

I’ve practised and taught long enough to know that the most important thing isn’t how a pose looks. It’s how it feels, and whether it leaves you a little steadier than before.

Find the Right Yoga Class for You

Whether you’re drawn to a weekly class in Bebington or Hooton, a private session, or an online course, Green Deva Yoga offers a calm, grounded approach to movement and wellbeing in midlife.

Green Deva Yoga Classes in Wirral

Yoga for Stress, Stillness and Midlife Wellbeing

Yoga offers far more than physical postures. At its heart, it’s a gentle framework for living with a little more calm, clarity and ease – and those benefits tend to become more meaningful, not less, as life gets fuller.

The classical teachings of yoga include practical tools that go well beyond movement: breathing practices that help settle an anxious mind, simple meditation techniques that support focus and emotional steadiness and a philosophy that encourages kindness toward yourself as much as toward others.

At Green Deva, I draw on these teachings in a way that’s grounded and accessible – relevant to the life you’re actually living, not an idealised version of it. Whether you’re here for the physical practice, for some relief from stress, or simply because something in you is curious, there’s more depth available whenever you’re ready for it.
That’s always been one of the things I love most about yoga. You can meet it at the surface and it’s helpful. Go a little deeper and it’s quietly transformative.

What to Expect in a Green Deva Yoga Class

Classes last around one hour and begin with gentle breath awareness – a chance to arrive, settle and leave the day behind. From there, we move gradually into simple, accessible movements to support strength, balance and flexibility, always at a pace that feels comfortable.

You’re encouraged to listen to your body throughout. I offer clear options and modifications so you can choose what feels right on any given day, and rest is always welcome – there’s no push, no strain, no keeping up.

We’ll usually include some breathwork or a short guided meditation and every class finishes with a restful relaxation. Most people leave feeling noticeably calmer than when they arrived. That never gets old, from a teaching point of view.

Everything You Need Is Provided
If you don’t have any equipment, don’t worry – I can provide a mat for your first couple of sessions, and blocks and belts are available to support your practice. Just wear something comfortable that lets you move and breathe freely.

Classes run Tuesdays at 6pm in Bebington and Wednesdays at 7:30pm in Hooton. Both are welcoming to complete beginners.
